Thalathuoya police officers arrested seven suspects with two grams and 340 milligrams of heroin on Sunday (19).
The suspects have been arrested according to the information given by two suspects arrested on January 16 for possessing heroin and already in the police custody under a detention order.
The two suspects, a male and a female had been taken into custody along with eight other suspects for possessing four grams and 542 milligrams in Neheniwela Area.
Seven suspects arrested on Sunday (19) are residents of Madawala, Kandy, Makkanigama and Peradeniya areas. They were to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate’s Courts yesterday.
Thalathuoya Police are investigating.
