A group of 30 troops of the 6 Gemunu Watch (GW) of the 142 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters - West helped to douse a raging fire that broke out in a garbage dump in the Madampitiya - Mutwal area after the Army’s assistance was sought around 2.00 pm on Saturday (18). Troops together with firefighters of the Fire Brigade and volunteers helped to put out the fire.
