The Dambulla Police Anti-vice Unit apprehended 19 suspects including five alleged heroin dealers in three days (March 12,13,14) and detected 10 grams of heroin along with 20 grams of cannabis with them in Dambulla, Kandalama and Pohoranwewa.
Meanwhile, six youth including four schoolchildren were held in Pohoranwewa, Kajuwatta, while they were smoking cannabis. The students’ parents are government employees and businessmen, police said.
They will be produced before the Dambulla Magistrate’s Court, police said.
