Habaraduwa Police arrested a mother of three with 3.8 grams of heroin in her possession yesterday. The 41-year-old suspect is a resident of Harumalgoda, Habaraduwa.
The woman was arrested while she was selling 1.8 grams of an illicit drug to a police decoy. On further searching, police detected 55 packets of heroin weighing 1.4 grams.
She was to be produced before the Galle Magistrate yesterday evening.
A group of officers of the Habaraduwa Police including IP Janaka Sampath and SI Wimal had made the arrest.
