Within 24-hour period the police had arrested 650 persons who had violated the curfew orders. The police had also taken into their custody 165 vehicles. Since the curfew was imposed from 20th of March to 6.00 am 21st April the police have arrested 34,500 persons who had violated the curfew regulations and 8,800 vehicles had also been taken into custody
