Within 24-hour period the police had arrested 1543 persons who had violated the curfew orders. The police had also taken into their custody 445 vehicles.
Since the curfew was imposed from 20th of March to 6.00 am 26th May the police have arrested 65,930 persons who had violated the curfew regulations and 18,614 vehicles had also been taken into custody.
Meanwhile, cases have been filed against 20,926 curfew violators so far, the police said.
