Kurunegala district Jathika Jana Balawegaya leader Namal Karunaratne yesterday said the government is misusing public property en masse for election propaganda activities.
Karunaratne said that many candidates in the Kurunegala district are not concerned about President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s order prohibiting his photos for SLPP election campaign.
He said salaries of public sector employees have been slashed and the government pensioners have been inconvenienced.
Karunaratne expressed dismay about the future of the government servants if the ruling party received a 2/3rd majority at the upcoming General election.
“We are in the threshold of another COVID-19 outbreak.The present government has not issued the Gazzette notification legalising the health guidelines to control the spread of COVID-19, he said
He said SJB leader Sajith Premadasa is striving to take over Sirikotha whilethe former Prime Minister says that the country will be rebuilt under a UNP government implying that they were not in power for the last five years.
