Panvila Police arrested four people on suspicion of stealing cardamom from the Kelebokka State Plantations cooperative estate in Panvila, on August 19.
The suspects appeared before Teldeniya Magistrate Sanaka Kalansooriya and were released on a personal bail of Rs. 100,000 each.
The suspects had entered the cardamom plantation area of the Kelebokka estate and stolen the spice, weighing about 20 kg.
Panvila Police also said that a conflict arose between the four suspects on sharing the quantum of spice stolen.
