Missing boy returns home

The schoolboy who went missing from home on March 18 returned home on Saturday 20 night, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said that the Mount Lavinia Police had received a complaint by the mother of the 15-year-old boy who went missing and four police teams were deployed in search of the boy.

However, the boy had returned home unhurt on Saturday night around 10.15 and the police is are conducting further investigations to determine if there is any criminal involvement in the disappearance of this boy.

Several CCTV cameras had captured the boy leaving his apartment in Mount Lavinia at around 6.25 am on Thursday. Other surveillance cameras had also captured him entering a certain location on Galle Road at around 6.35 am.
