The Jaffna Police have arrested a man in Negombo on Sunday (22) for allegedly threatening the Director of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital over the phone, claiming to be a representative of the Presidential Secretariat.
The suspect had telephoned and had allegedly threatened the Director, warning that the contract to supply food to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital should be given to a person in Jaffna.
Director of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Sri Bavanandarajah lodged a complaint with the Jaffna Police and the suspect has been arrested.
