Unidil, a corrugated carton manufacturer, in another community support initiative donated a Negative Pressure Ventilation System to Covid Intensive Care Unit of Gampaha District Hospital valued at Rs. 1.2 mn.
This unit vacuums all the negative air in the ICU unit and helps to supply clean air to the Unit. Without this system, the unit cannot operate as infected air may affect the other patients and the hospital staff. The donations took place at the hospital premises. The donation was made on the request of Dr. Sampath Kulathunga.
