New Delhi:
The Uttar Pradesh police is on high alert given the Afghanistan mess and the consequent threat of ISIS or affiliated sleeper cells getting active in the state with the intent of maximising damage as state assembly elections are just around the corner and political parties will soon be rolling out their public outreach campaigns.
Highly placed sources in the UP police told News 24 that they are in constant touch with intelligence agencies and closely monitoring the situation as it evolves.

We also busted Al Qaeda module in Lucknow,” the senior police official said, though he did not want to be named.
