Dr. Anil Jasinghe appointed as a Chairman of the Bureau of Environment Authorities of the 04 th Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia-Pacific for one year period.
The Secretary to Ministry of Environment Dr. Anil Jasinghe has been elected as the chair of the Bureau of Environment authorities of the 04 th Forum of Ministers and Environment Authorities of Asia Pacific for one year period.
Accordingly, Dr. Anil Jasinghe will represent the Asia-Pacific region as the Bureau chair of Environment Authorities at the forthcoming 05 th General Assembly of United Nations Environment programme (UNEA-05) to be held in February 2022.
Dr.Jasinghe, has been elected to this position at the Asia- Pacific Environment Authorities forum held these days in Suwon City, South Korea.
Environment Ministers and senior officials representing 47 Asia Pacific countries participate in this forum.
