An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred at a Depth of 10 Km this evening in the Bay of Bengal 302 Km north east of Batticaloa, Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said.
A spokesman for the GSMB said there was no tsunami threat due to the earthquake which occurred at 6.46 pm.
According to India’s National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake with a magnitude 4.3, occurred at a Depth: 21 Km , 515km ENE of Colombo at 6.44 pm.
