Bihar: Covid-19 explosion at NMCH hospital in Patna for third consecutive day

For the third day in a row, the number of coronavirus cases has jumped at an explosive rate at the NMCH Hospital in Patna. 

A total of 27 new cases of corona have come to light in NMCH, the second largest hospital in Patna. Including 19 doctors of NMCH.

So far, a total of 187 doctors of NNCH have been diagnosed with coronavirus. 

As many as 59 more doctors of the Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Patna have tested positive for COVID-19, Bihar health officials informed on Tuesday.

“59 more doctors of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Patna have tested positive for COVID-19,” stated the officials.

In view of the threat of the Omicron variant of the Covid-29 pandemic and the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bihar government has issued new guidelines. 

According to the new guidelines, night curfew will be in force in Bihar from January 6 to January 21 from 10 pm to 5 am. Schools will be closed till class-8. Government and non-government offices will operate at 50% capacity.

Apart from this, religious places, malls, cinemas, clubs, swimming pools, stadiums, gyms, parks will also remain closed till January 21.

In addition, institutions for ninth and higher education will be opened with 50% capacity. A maximum of 50 people will be allowed in marriage ceremonies and shraddha programs. Shops and private establishments will be open until 8 p.m.
