Elderly man collapses in gas queue

An aged person collapsed while standing in a long queue for gas in Ambalangoda and was rushed to the Balapitiya Hospital in an ambulance by the police yesterday.

The people had been waiting in a long queue expecting a truck carrying gas since 4.00 a.m. of the day. However the truck with gas had arrived about 8.45 in the morning, a police officer of Ambalangoda police said.

While standing in the queue the man fell unconscious allegedly due to dizziness and the police officers who were present sent him to the hospital.
