While ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has emerged as the next big thing in film industry after collections have gone off the charts in theatres, rumours are abuzz that it would soon land on OTT platform given the sharp rise in COVID19 and Omicron cases and as states after state has brought to bear upon people severe restrictions on movement and public gatherings.

The big-ticket film, which
hit the screens on December 17
, has been garnering positive reviews from all quarters, making it one of the most popular South-Indian films among Hind-speaking audience. While Pushpa continues its dream run at box office, those who remain skeptical about going to theatres in view of rising cases of coronavirus, are anticipating its OTT release. According to media reports, the post-theatrical rights of Pushpa: The Rise, has been sold to the
OTT giant Amazon Prime Video
. While makers are yet to announce an official release date of Pushpa movie on OTT, it is expected that the film may see a mid-January release on Amazon Prime Video.
Pushpa movie cast and story:
Apart from Icon Star Allu Arjun, Pushpa: The Rise also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahaadh Faasil in principal roles. The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, showcase the face-off between Allu Arjun’s Pushpa Raj and Fahadh Faasil’s Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The film follows the infamous Sandalwood scandal that took place in Andhra Pradesh.
