Domestic automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra has said goodbye to 2021 with a positive note, registering an 11 percent increase in overall auto sales in the last month of December 2021. The company is very excited about the growth in sales of both passenger and utility vehicles as well as commercial vehicles and expects the same from the customers in the new year as well. Mahindra & Mahindra sold a total of 39,157 vehicles in December 2021, of which 17,469 units were sold in the utility vehicles segment. In the passenger vehicle segment, Mahindra sold a total of 17,722 units of SUVs, cars and vans.
Mahindra exported a total of 3017 vehicles last month. The company registered a growth of 14 percent in the commercial vehicle segment and sold a total of 15,938 units in December. New car coming in new year
SUVs like Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Scorpio and Mahindra Bolero Neo is sold well in India and in the new year the company is going to launch an updated version of one of the best selling SUVs, Scorpio.
Currently, Vijay Nakra, CEO of Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has expressed happiness over the company’s car sales report for the last month of the year and said that passenger, commercial vehicles as well as international operations have seen growth, although the company’s focus is on overcoming the problem of semiconductor shortage which is a big challenge.
