BMW 3.0 CSL launched, know price and features

BMW 3.0 CSL: As part of its 50th anniversary celebrations, the BMW M performance division unveiled the most coveted 3.0 CSL. The production of all vehicles will take place at BMW’s Dingolfing facility in Germany over the course of about three months and will be limited to only 50 units worldwide.

The new 3.0 CSL pays homage to the 1973 “Batmobile” 3.0 CSL by basing it on the G82 model of the M4.

The new CSL’s straight-six engine is BMW’s most potent road-legal engine ever. It is capable of producing 552 horsepower and 550 Nm of maximum torque. A six-speed manual transmission transfers power to the rear wheels.

The straight six-cylinder BMW 3.0 CSL engine shares certain technological foundations with the current DTM champion. Additionally, it has adaptive M suspension, an active M differential, and 400x38mm front and 380x28mm rear M carbon-ceramic brakes.

According to BMW, a total of 22 different parts are painted using a procedure specifically created for the BMW 3.0 CSL, drawing inspiration from the original model for the new 3.0 CSL’s external livery. The lightweight material is used to construct the bonnet, boot lid, front and back aprons, side sills, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler.

It uses a lot of carbon fibre and is the company’s largest series production vehicle with a carbon roof.

The 20-inch front axle and 21-inch rear axle of the 3.0 CSL’s forged light alloy Y-spoke wheels measure 20 inches each. While the fenders have been modified to more closely mirror those on the original 3.0 CSL, the huge rear spoiler increases downforce and traction at the rear axle.

For the interior, the 3.0 CSL has two designated spaces for two helmets behind the driver and passenger as well as carbon bucket seats. Alcantara is used for the seats, steering wheel, and roofliner, much like it is for the exterior paint.
