<p>President Ranil Wickremesinghe Thursday said that Opposition and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa should have accepted the challenge by JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake for a debate.</p>
<p>"Anura has set a May 20 deadline. Sajith has not accepted it. He should have accepted and faced the debate," the president told a meeting with a group of journalists at the presidential secretariat on Thursday..</p>
<p>Turning down a request from by rhe Daily Mirror for a debate it was planning to organize, the president said: "Anyone can come to parliament and debate with me.
