BASL-JICA controversy: Kaushalya won’t function as BASL President pending inquiry

<p><img src="" alt="Featured Image"></p><p><!-- wp:html --><p>Kaushalya Nawaratne, PC, has assured the Bar Council and Executive Committee of the Bar Association that he would refrain from functioning as the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL)pending the conclusion of an inquiry launched into a project involving JICA.</p>
<p>However, Nawaratne has already questioned the composition of the Inquiring Team consisting of Dr. K.
