TMVP leader and former Eastern Provincial Councilor Sivanesadurai Chandrakanthan aka Pillayan was re-remanded, along with three others for the murder TNA parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingam in 2005.
Batticaloa Magistrate M. Ganesaraja ordered the four held till December 28.
The three other suspects are former TMVP national coordinator and Eastern provincial councilor Edwin Silwa Krishnanantharaja, K. Kanaganayagam and Army intelligence officer M. Kaleel.
Batticaloa district TNA MP Joseph Pararajasingam was shot dead on Christmas Day 2005, while attending Christmas mass with his family. The CID arrested Pillayan in this regard in October 2015.
