Prison authorities are conducting a probe into the allegations leveled by MP Hirunika Premachandra that former MP Duminda Silva, who is on death row was enjoying special facilities.
Premachandra alleged in Parliament that Silva even had a birthday party with his family members inside the prison recently. A prison official said they were conducting a probe into the allegations leveled by Premachandra. She also alleged that a number of other prisoners who were powerful personalities were enjoying special treatment and facilities.
