The proposal by President Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to liquidate the company ‘Rakna Lanka Ltd.’ and assign the task of protecting the sea to Sri Lanka Navy, and the land to the Civil Security Force, was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Rakna Araksha Lanka Limited will be liquidated under the guidance of the Attorney General. Rakna Araksha Lanka Limited (RALL), established in 2006 during the previous government, provided elite security services - in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence - to commercial establishments.
