Director (Operations) of the Anti Corruption Force Namal Kumara who has been in remand custody produced before the Hettipola Magistrate F.S. Mahafi on December 18 and ordered to be remanded further till December 16.
He was arrested on May 13 in Hettipola, Kurunegala over inflicting communal violence over the Easter Sunday bomb attacks in April and detained for seven months for interrogation.
Counsels Kapila Sampath Deshapriya and Ajith Prasanna appeared for the suspect. They appealed the Magistrate to bail the suspect as the allegations levelled against him are baseless.
