More China returnees at BIA vetted

Three more flights carrying 180 passengers including 141 Sri Lankans have arrived in the country from China on Sunday (2) morning, Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) sources said.

The other passengers (39) are Chinese nationals. The first flight, AC-425 (Air China) had arrived from Chengdu on Saturday night carrying 24 Chinese nationals and one Sri Lanka student.

The other two flights had landed early last morning from Guangzhou and Beijing respectively. The UL-881 flight had arrived from Guangzhou with 63 Sri Lankans and nine Chinese nationals on board while UL-869 from Beijing had arrived with 77 Sri Lankans and six Chinese nationals on board.

All passengers were released from the airport after undergone thorough medical checkups at the BIA by the medical units.
