Wildlife Officers arrested two suspects yesterday while they were carrying a parcel of venison on a motorcycle to a restaurant in Kurunegala.
They were produced before Galgamuwa Magistrate Rasika Mallawaarachchi and ordered to be fined Rs.100,000. The suspects are P.D.Gamini and A.M.Gunasinghe of Giribawa, Kurunegala. The stock of venison was confiscated.
