The closing date for applications for the competitive examination for recruiting graduates in the public service to the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service (SLTS) for Sinhala, Tamil, and English medium teacher vacancies in the National and Provincial schools will be on February 17. Applications are being called by the Education Ministry to fill the vacancies in the SLTS in the National and Provincial schools.
Graduates who are less than 40 years of age serving in the State service can apply for the vacancies.
Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that it has been planned to fill the vacancies promptly to deploy new teachers to school system in the first school term of 2023 in March.
