
Several parties including social media activists, journalists, youth representatives were made aware of the contents included in the second report of the Sub Committee on Identifying the Short & Medium-Term Programmes related to Economic Stabilization of the National Council.
The parties were made aware of these on February 9. Committee Chairman MP Patali Champika Ranawaka mentioned the particulars included in the report to the parties who were present.
If the necessity arises to inform the committee about the matters included in the report and anything else, they were informed to do so via the Parliament web.
He also said that the opinions of experts representing many fields have been obtained in preparing the report. Views of the parties in this regard were taken into consideration uplifting low-income earners, systematic provision of Samrudhi subsidy, free meals to children in rural schools, increase in prices of school equipment, development of wood related products, aviation sector and fishing industry among others.
MP Patali Champika Ranawaka invited all parties to submit their comments regarding the second report of the Sub Committee via the official website of the Parliament.Minister Naseer Ahamed and MP Anura Priyadharshana Yapa were present.
