KOICA Volunteers’ Partner Day 2024

<p><img src="" alt="Featured Image"></p><p><!-- wp:html --><p>The KOICA Volunteers' Partner Day of year 2024 was held at the Courtyard by Marriott (Emerald Hall), Colombo City Centre, Colombo 02 on May 31, said a press release by KOICA.</p>
<p>It said KOICA Country Director Kim Myungjin, Director General of External Resources Department Ajith Abeysekara and officials from the Department of Technical Education &amp; Training, National Institute of Education, National Youth Services Council, National Secretariat for Non-governmental Organizations and over 20 volunteer partner organization representatives in Sri Lanka were present on the occasion.</p>
<p> The meeting, conducted by KOICA – WFK Division, was to recognize, manage, share and take advantage of the know-how, experience and knowledgeable resources with the partner organizations. The main goals of the knowledge sharing session were to deliver relevant information about the KOICA Volunteer programme and to generate insights from the partner organizations that will be useful in recalibrating WFK programme's future direction.</p>
<p>During the session, participants of partner organizations showed their desire to obtain the services of volunteers, especially for the fields of Korean Language, ICT, Electronics, Social Welfare, Electronics and Auto-Mobile Engineering. They appreciated and emphasized the importance of expanding the KOICA Volunteer Programme to rural areas in Sri Lanka.</p>
<p>Since KOICA Sri Lanka's initiation in 1991, volunteer dispatch activities have taken place throughout most regions in the country. There has been a significant demand for KOICA volunteers in the educational sphere targeting areas of Korean Language, ICT, Beauty and Salon, Electrical and Mechanics. The expertise received from Korea has not only shown developmental potential in partner organizations but has also provided invaluable expertise for the youth to expedite in the job market.</p>
<p>KOICA Country Director in Sri Lanka Kim Myungjin expressed her gratitude to all the participants of partner organizations and added "KOICA HQ and the Sri Lanka office are delighted to continue the volunteer programme in Sri Lanka by dispatching seven more Korean volunteers in July 2024 and looking forward to dispatch more volunteers in the coming months of 2024, while introducing new focused volunteer fields in alignment with the SDG goals and the Sri Lankan government priorities."</p><!-- /wp:html --></p><p>[Category: <a href="https://feed.lankaimage.com/category/uncategorized/" rel="category tag">Uncategorized</a>]</p><p><strong>Tags:</strong> </p>
