Midwives in the Kegalle district have launched a token strike in protest of not being given a proper room at the MOH, Midwives Association sources said.
The Kegalle midwives say they are currently allocated the room in which stationary is stored, and say this is a disgrace.
Sources said the midwives have withdrawn themselves from duties by applying for sick leave.
They say they expect the MOH to respond to their token protest and allocate a proper room for them.
